KaireAI — AI-powered remote patient monitoring platform

The brief

KaireAI, by Companion Health Technology, set out to make aging at home safer. Most seniors want to stay in their own homes, but preventable falls, missed medication, and slow-to-surface health changes make that risky for families. The goal was to turn in-home monitoring from a nice-to-have into a genuine safeguard — combining real-time health data, AI, and a connected family network, all built to healthcare-grade privacy and security standards.

We delivered the platform end to end: the consumer mobile apps, the web platform, the AI layer, and the integrations that tie monitoring devices, caregivers, and clinicians together.

What we built

Mobile apps (iOS & Android). A senior- and caregiver-friendly app — now live on the App Store and Google Play — that puts vitals, daily summaries, reminders, and alerts one tap away, with an interface designed for older users and clarity at a glance.

Facial-scan vitals. Contactless health checks that read 24 biometric indicators — including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart-rate variability, and cardiovascular (ASCVD) risk — from a simple scan, with no wearable required.

Connected health devices. Integrations with smart rings, smart scales, continuous glucose monitoring (Dexcom G7), and other 360° monitoring tools, so readings flow into a single dashboard automatically.

AI virtual caregiver. A 24/7 conversational assistant that answers health questions by voice or text, surfaces personalized insights and daily fall-risk, delivers medication and task reminders, and can connect users to a doctor in-app.

Proactive alerts & emergency response. Real-time detection of falls, irregular vitals, missed doses, and unusual inactivity — triggering instant push alerts and, where needed, automatic notifications to family, caregivers, or emergency services, with panic-button support.

Care plans & medication management. Individualized care plans driven by each person’s profile, daily screenings, and AI insights, plus a medication schedule with dosages, instructions, and adherence reminders.

Family & caregiver dashboard. A centralized view of every family member’s health, real-time status updates, caregiver scheduling and coordination, and one-tap sharing of reports with doctors and group practices.

Wellbeing & telemedicine. Daily ESAS symptom check-ins, in-app community and video connection, access to mental-health professionals, and secure telemedicine so patients can reach clinicians from home — with multilingual and voice-activated support for accessibility.

Web platform & enrollment. The marketing site, subscription and billing, and web and mobile enrollment flows that onboard patients onto the platform.

The outcome

KaireAI is a live, production remote patient monitoring platform — shipping on both app stores and used by seniors, family caregivers, home-care aides, and clinicians. It shifts care from reactive to proactive: issues like medication non-adherence or a change in vitals are surfaced before they become emergencies. The result is a scalable healthcare product — suitable for individuals, senior-care facilities, and larger health organizations — wrapped in enterprise-grade encryption and privacy.
